Alaska Snowkite Rideguide

Weather is the most important factor in deciding were to snow kite. Most of the winter there is good wind somewhere. Whether it's blowing Southwest or from the from North we have places to ride. This guide is designed to help you go in the right direction for an epic day of kiting.

Some helpful tools are the NOAA forecast and the mesowest site. Mesowest has links to many anemometers close to our kiting areas. On the mesowest site you will need to set networks to all and radius to 25-100 miles on the left side of the toolbar/menu. Then click on map for all available stations.
